  • Mark A. Weber grew up on a farm in Milbank, South Dakota. For more than 20 years, Mark’s practice has focused on Personal Injury, Criminal Litigation, Insurance Litigation, and Commercial Litigation. Whether he’s negotiating for clients against insurance companies or defending criminal defendants against the government, Mark’s passion comes from fighting for the underdog. When clients are facing issues that are serious to them, he understands the magnitude of the situation. From defending children against minor in possession charges to driving under the influence charges to accident victims whose lives have been severely damaged to relatives suffering after a loved one’s accidental death, Mark respects his clients and treats them with dignity. He knows first-hand that neither he nor anyone else can ever truly understand his client’s unique predicament because he, too, suffered loss at a very young age. In 2013, Mark added depth to the Carlson & Burnett team with his experience, which includes arguing before the United States Supreme Court, a substantial Appellate Practice, trying cases in State and Federal Courts, and various bar admissions including two Circuit Courts of Appeal. Mark argued the case of Victor v. Nebraska before the United States Supreme Court in 1994. Mark argued for and obtained new law in the 2011 Supreme Court of Nebraska case Devese v. Transguard Insurance. Co. of America, Inc., ruling against an insurance company that had denied coverage following an accident because the driver was unlicensed. In the 2008 case of Inman v. Nebraska Methodist Hospital, Mark successfully obtained an exception to a statute of limitations rule limiting the time a medical malpractice victim has to file suit. Not only is Mark not afraid to try any case, he is prepared and experienced in taking cases to the Supreme Court of Nebraska and, if appropriate, to the United States Supreme Court.

By the way, I put (the company) in parenthesis twice since I think you should use the company name a couple times, and I put (resume enclosed) not to be worded in the letter, but a suggestion for you to provide them with your resume along with the letter of resignation. You have made it very clear you would like to stay, would like to be transferred, but you have avoided looking resentful of bitter. Hope this helps!
