I live in LA so California, and kind of tired of a big city and expensive living. Is Chicago a cheaper living than LA?.
You can't, you can do it without an attorney but you do need to get approval and then post it in the paper for like a month and it is a long hard process. Why do you want to change your name so quickly? If you are trying to run from something you won't get too far by changing your name, that is the whole point in having to post the change in the paper for so long. If it's not you trying to run from something then why do you need to do it so quickly? If you are a female and you want or need to only change your last name you can get married or if you have already been married and still have your married name you can ask to have your maiden name back and that won't take too long. Good luck
