It seems to me that with the dawn of the Internet/mobile phone culture and consequent fall of letter-writing, people don't seem to 'correspond' as they used to. This feels paradoxical, as they should be making communication easier on a deep level. Perhaps people feel that because we are able to communicate more freely now, there isn't the pressure to write longer messages when there is no postage. Is this the case?
