  • White & Allen, P.A. is a professional corporation engaged in the general practice of law in Eastern North Carolina. The firm has offices in Kinston, Lenoir County, North Carolina; Snow Hill, Greene County, North Carolina; and New Bern, Craven County, North Carolina. The firm employs 20 attorneys and more than 30 support staff.

These are attorneys and staff members who clients would want to have as neighbors and friends. But, just as important, these are attorneys a client wants alongside when starting a business, when planning an estate, when responding to an injury. In short, when a client needs someone to rely on and trust.

The firm's predecessors first began legal practice in Eastern North Carolina in 1927. The existing law firm began in 1970 with a merger of two smaller firms whose senior partners were Thomas J. White, Jr. and William A. Allen, Jr. Since then, the firm has grown to become one of the largest law firms in Eastern North Carolina with a full-service legal capacity.

White & Allen’s scope of practice covers both criminal and civil law with emphases on bankruptcy, civil litigation, health care law, corporations, partnerships, personal injury, insurance, elder law, real estate, taxation, estate planning and administration. The law firm has two attorneys with a Master of Laws in taxation, three attorneys with masters degrees in business administration and three attorneys who are board certified by the North Carolina State Bar in their respective fields.

At White & Allen, not only are we dedicated to top-notch legal services, we also keep a close eye on costs. Thanks to advanced word-processing and computer systems that add speed and efficiency, we can minimize overhead and pass the savings on to clients. We also maintain a cost-conscious fee structure through the use of paralegals under attorney supervision whenever possible.

We take great pride in having been leaders in public service for many years. From serving in the N.C. General Assembly to membership on the Kinston School Board; from being chairman of the State Arts Commission to participation in the local Chamber of Commerce, the firm serves its communities. It’s in our blood.

Many of our client relationships have lasted for generations. We have assisted clients through difficult times and helped them avoid the future’s pitfalls. We have been with our clients as they have grown with opportunities and built their own sound futures.

These are relationships begun with shared beliefs, built on solid trust and nurtured by genuine care. That is the White & Allen way of doing things.

Is there a website that I can download legal documents such as a name change form, judgment form and other documents that you would normally have to go down to the courthouse to receive?.

and Jesus says all sins are forgiven, i can imagine that since all authority in the priesthood is corrupted and confused, no one can justify condemning anyone for being led astray by history and the powers that be. The only ones Jesus says that will not be saved are those sons of perdition that commite the sin of blasphemy against the holy ghost.

1) Focus on getting good grades now so that you can get into a better law school. Remember that in law school admissions, however, your LSAT score is about 70% of the equation while undergrad grades are only about 30% (on average). Most law schools have equations based on those two numbers which they use to rank applicants. You can actually look up what equation the school you are applying to use so as to determine how much each factor matters (that's what I did when I applied, I would link it but I forget where it is). So in other words, START PREPARING FOR THE LSATs by taking a course or buying an LSAT practice book. The LSAT is very much a speed and "trick question" sort of test. It doesn't test knowledge so much as skill. Take tons of practice tests to increase your skill.. . 2) Once in law school you need to buckle down and get good grades. What kind of job you get is entirely dependent on your grades. Many firms will not even interview people who don't meet explicitly stated class ranks (for example, only top 20%). Students who are in the bottom quarter of the class and go to a lower tier school often will never find a job in the legal field. If you want to work for the FDA or CDC, you should at least be in the top 50% to have a chance and the top 25% to be competitive (though government isn't as hard to get hired at as some legal jobs).. . 3) Try to do internships with hospitals now. While you're in undergrad you could intern or volunteer at a hospital. It will look good on your law school application, your resume and it will demonstrate your commitment to becoming a health lawyer. Once in law school, make it your absolute focus to get a clerkship or some other type of job in the legal department of a hospital. Also, take any and all health law classes your law school offers. You may want to look into finding a school that specializes in health law (and perhaps can give you a certificate in it) because many law schools will only offer one or two health law classes (mine only has one).. . Good luck. The law is a great career if you really want to do it. If you're just in it for the money though, you're going to be miserable. It is a lot of work and extremely stressful.

I work for an air conditioning comapny and have never really wrote thank you letters before, so I just need some good Ideas..

You should down load ( or go to a book store and look for a resume template guide) a few sample resumes. You are not formatted correctly at all, its hard to read, the structure is wrong, there are spelling errors...its really a mess (sorry) and too hard to correct here. Either ask a teacher to help you or get some templates.
