• David was born in Wilmington, N.C., on August 15, 1960. He attended North Carolina State University in Raleigh and graduated magna cum laude in 1982. He then attended the University of North Carolina Law School at Chapel Hill, graduating in 1985. He was admitted to the North Carolina State Bar in that year.

  David is licensed to practice before all North Carolina State Courts, the Federal District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina, the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.

  He is a member of the American Bar Association, the North Carolina Bar Association, the North Carolina State Bar, the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers, and the Lenoir County Bar Association. In 2010 David was selected for membership to the American Trial Lawyers Association and named to its Top 100 Trial Lawyers of 2010. He was also included on the North Carolina Super Lawyers 2009 list.

  He is past president of the Lenoir County Bar Association and the Eighth Judicial District Bar Association.

  David played and lettered in football at North Carolina State University. He received the Earle Edwards Award established by Wilbert James “Nick” Carter for the varsity football letterman with the highest scholastic average at NCSU. In 2010, David was reelected to the Lenoir County Board of Education. He served as the board chairman from January 2009 through December 2010.

Hello everyone,. . hope everything is going well with all of you. I'm writing to you to say hello, Also I need your input on a task im doing for work ... . Breifly, I'm designing an RFP document addressed to vendors to do our project RFPs. So yeah it's an RFP to do an RFP ...LOL stay focused I need your brain :). It's like that .. you know that RFP is a request for providing proposal to do a service. I was cruising online and all I got is how to design an RFP template which is not what i'm looking for .. What i'm trying to find out is how to write a scope of work for a company that I'm asking do the following :. . 1. write my RFPs.. 2. Evaluate proposals received from venders and select the winner that best meets our requirements.. . here is the a quote of what I have written, which was returned to me with more details and elaboration been asked regarding the "scope of service" section.. . ----------. Scope of Service. . "The AIC is looking for a vendor to write the RFPs from A to Z with the objective named above. The RFPs should meet public standards and qualified publications. The Vendor should then evaluate the proposals received and determine how well they meet AIC needs and requirements, and subsequently select the best-fit proposal.". -----------. . My boss is advicing me to look at it as a contract between the AIC and the vendor who will do the RFPs? and evaluate them. He also said that we need to define clearly what we're expecting from the vendor to do for us.. . so it should be something like :. Build the RFPs and that should include:. 1.. 2.. 3. etc. . In June 2004 i took out a loan with Building Society. The loan was for just over ?7000. This was to cover a small loan i previously taken out and the remainder to buy a small car. I finished paying the loan Last year but i have been thinking lately that i may have been charged Payment Protection Insurance. I did not know anything about this. So yesterday i rang the customer relations helpline and asked them to help and investigate. After a short call my details had been taken and was told that i will have a letter or phone correspondence within a week. During this call i was told that on record i signed the forms stating i accepted the insurance deal. . The only thing that i can remember is i did question something regarding this and was told that the loan would not be approved unless i accepted the insurance.. Do i have a realistic chance of being proved right and seeing any of my money repaid to me?. . Or can anyone help me deal with this more effectively? Thanks.

You don't indent, as you may have noticed. Instead, you double space between paragraphs. That's what I am doing here. There was an older format which included indentations, but that has been largely replaced by block format, which is what I am using.. . Be sure to separate items into paragraphs, just as I am doing in this example. Since it's a fairly straightforward subject, you shouldn't need too many paragraphs. One to state you want the change, another to discuss briefly the reasons why you need the change, and then a third to thank him or her for their attention to the matter and prepare to wrap up your letter.

I suffered from depression for years and from time to time, I battle with anxiety issues. I got married. Was verbally, physically and mentally abused to some degree. I am challenged when it comes to having babies.. . Now, about who I AM: I love big and with all of me. I'm reserved, I allow others to speak which makes me a great listener. I'm deeply passionate about the important things in life ... like people -- family, close friends, love, hope etc. I take the time to construct my words. I'm witty at times and honest. My biggest dream and probably only dream is to be a mother, a grandmother, a great grandmother ... to have a family of my own.. . I consider myself resillient, deep and honest.. . I'm definitely not wanting a change of name to erase parts of life. I just don't feel right about 'going back' to my maiden name, or keeping my married one.. . Thanks for the advice.. . I have actually thought about this for a number of months.. I don't have any plans of changing my name if and when I remarry. If I do, it will most likely be hyphenated.. . I have talked to a friend who has been in a similar situation and successfully changed her name ... almost for the same reason.. And I have done a little bit of legal reading about it ... and plan to talk about it further with my solicitor at my next meeting.. . But I am quite confident that this is what I want to do.. . I'm not trying to create a different person.. I don't know if it seems as though this is superficial ... but there is significance in this for me..
