• Shawn A. Devries is a licensed Florida Bar Attorney. He is also a Florida Supreme Court Family, Circuit Civil, and Appellate Mediator. Before coming to Jacksonville more than four years ago, Shawn resided in Central Florida after relocating from his home town in Syracuse, New York. Prior to becoming an attorney, Shawn worked in the hospitality industry throughout Central Florida and Upstate NY for over fourteen years. Over those fourteen years he worked for both small hospitality firms as well as Fortune 500 companies. During that time, Shawn received his Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management from the University of Central Florida and has completed his Masters of Business Administration from NOVA Southeastern University.

  After gaining many years of experience in hospitality, Shawn then decided to relocate to Jacksonville to pursue law school at Florida Coastal School of Law. Shawn believed he could utilize his many years of experience in the hospitality industry in the legal field. Today, Shawn has his own law firm, The DeVries Law Firm, P.A., that is centered around his passion of combining hospitality and law.
