I did not change my new married name at the social security office so I was denied (my husband and I ) any stimulus check what so ever. I guess this was our punishment. I just heard on the news that 1/4 million married couples did not receive their checks because of this and I am one of them. The news also said these people would be getting their checks soon if their social security issue was corrected. I went down and corrected this back in June at the SS Office and then I called and confirmed with IRS it was fixed. Has anyone heard anything about married couples FINALLY getting their refunds yet. I tried to call and ask and all I got was recorded information. Is there an 800 # I can call and talk to a live human about it? What have you heard on this issue?. Some models were discovered walking home from a vacation at the airport, sitting in restaurants with their family, or walking in the malls.
