• Amy Marion has over 22 years of experience representing individuals in civil and criminal investigations and prosecutions in both the federal and state courts. She has tried to verdict a multitude of felony cases including homicide and narcotics cases. She also has defended clients in investigations and trials of false arrest, malicious prosecution and excessive force claims. In addition, Ms. Marion has extensive experience in cases involving domestic violence and abuse and litigation focused on Orders of Protection in both Family and Criminal Court. She has also successfully litigated employment discrimination cases against several large municipalities and corporations.

  Ms. Marion’s legal career began in the Criminal Defense Division of the New York City Legal Aid Society, where she represented indigent defendants. So great was her success in the courtroom, she was chosen to appear in a Court TV documentary entitled “The Public Defender.” Entering private practice in 1997, Ms. Marion focused on building a strong reputation as a civil rights litigator.

  In 2005 Ms. Marion became Principal Law Clerk to the Hon. Tammy S. Robbins, Nassau County Court Judge.? Serving in this position, she was assigned to the Nassau County Family Court and New York State Supreme Court, in addition to the County Court. As Principal Law Clerk, she was responsible for the management of all of Judge Robbins’ cases, including felony complaints and indictments; felony domestic violence cases; civil litigation cases; as well as cases involving custody and visitation issues, orders of protection, and neglect issues. Ms. Marion has an understanding of trials and the court system from every perspective. The diversity of her background offers clients an advocate who can provide them with the most successful outcome possible.

  Ms. Marion received her Juris Doctorate in 1988 from Hofstra University School of Law, and was awarded the Inns of Court Scholarship. In 1984, she received her Bachelor of Arts in the specialized Social Thought and Political Economics program at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.

I just need a simple surgery on both my ears. About a year ago I developed a keloid on both ears. I know they can get bigger so I want to get it fixed before it looks like a grape behind my ear. Wow, that is a cruddy situation. Contact a REAL ESTATE ATTORNEY, that specializes in real estate issues. As far as the failure to disclose, it is hard to say. It sounds like there is a number of public and private entities that failed to some degree here. The attorney will be able to discern who is at fault. Part of the inspections should have included checking drainage and grade for your home as well as the condition of the septic system. Public and private inspectors verify these conditions and seem to have failed. Do not do anything until you speak with a real estate lawyer (I would speak to more than one to find the one who gives you the best answers and confidence) who will work on a contingency. Walking away from your home, etc. will damage your credit and effect your ability to purchase future homes, especially given our economy now. A remediation plan will likely be developed at a cost to one or more people found at fault and attorney fees should be covered so your are not spending your money.
