  • Mr. Ward is an associate attorney with Wick & Trautwein, LLC. He joined the firm in March 2013 after the great privilege of working nearly two years as a law clerk for the Honorable Daniel J. Kaup in the District Court for the 8th Judicial District in Fort Collins, Colorado. Mr. Ward's practice with the firm is focused on business organizations, business and commercial law, contracts, civil litigation, and administrative law.

    After growing up in Crestone, Colorado, Mr. Ward moved to Fort Collins to attend Colorado State University in 1993. He received his B.A. in Liberal Arts, Art & Humanities in 1998 and his M.F.A. in Creative Writing with an emphasis on Poetry in 2007. In 2003 he began working with Payroll+ Benefits Group as an account and office manager. He obtained his license to sell life and health insurance in Colorado in 2004. His primary focus was the sale, implementation and administration of employee benefit plans for small businesses in Colorado. Payroll+ Benefits Group was rebranded as Sage Benefit Advisors and Mr. Ward continued with that company until 2008.

    Mr. Ward received his J.D. from University of Wyoming College of Law in 2011. During law school he worked as a graduate teaching assistant for Professor Debra Donahue in her class on Environmental Law & Policy. He also worked as a research assistant for professors in the College of Business and the College of Law on topics ranging from privacy in the workplace to international human rights. During law school, Mr. Ward also worked under the supervision of Professor Diane Courselle with the Defender Aid Program. The program is aimed at advocating for indigent clients in post-conviction proceedings. With the program Mr. Ward argued appeals before the Wyoming Supreme Court and the United States District Court for the District of Wyoming. Additionally, Mr. Ward did extensive work on briefs submitted to the U.S. District Court, the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Ward was admitted to practice law in Colorado in 2012.

    Mr. Ward is actively involved with the Larimer County Bar Association, Young Lawyers Division. Prior community activities include membership on the board of directors at Canyon Concert Ballet here in Fort Collins. He currently serves on the board of directors for Partners Mentoring Youth. You might catch a glimpse of Mr. Ward running or biking along the trails around town or displaying his tremendous slice off the tee box at one of the local golf courses.

we are planning on paying them off but at this rate it will never happen .so we want to stop paying minimum payment and save that money for 6 months to a year and pay them off in 1 lump sum . the question is how long will it take for them to sue us in the meantime.
