ok so i was born in texas but i moved to california a year ago and i want to change my name but do i have to do it in texas were i was born or i can make it in california?? and also why do u have to make your name change appear in newspaper??.

Do you have insurance information? You say all IDs, but I don't know if that includes insurance.. . You should call the new place and ask them what they will need. If you can get her medical records, it will really help. Sometimes you can get some information by going online through her health insurance company and print out visit summaries.

My sister in sending my niece to be with me for a little while. However, I have no idea on how to get legal guardianship for school and insurance purposes. My sis said she will do the Power of Attorney but I have no idea where or how to go about this.....She is 12 soon to be 13.

Letter - Giving notice to Landlord?

You will lose all credit history, work history, medical history etc. You will be starting over with no credit history or work history as if you were 18 again. You will not even be able to prove you graduated high school. These are things to think about. . It is a major process although is necessary in some situations.

I don't know where you are from but if you are in the UK it certainly IS possible. NOR do you need to get a deed poll or any other type of document.. . Nowhere on a marriage certificate does it state that a womans name has now changed and that she is now Mrs X instead of Miss Y. It is just a tradition that the female takes the males name and then adds the Mrs tag onto it.. . All you need to do is let people know that you now want to be known as Mrs X. On the formal/legal side, you need to change your bank details, drivers license, passport etc - you just do as any other newly-wed does and send them the appropriate name change form together with a copy of your marriage certificate.. . And thats it ..... job done (unless you want to use both surnames as a double-barrelled name then it gets a bit more complex lol)
