Here's an example of a question and answer from this page:

Ask Your AttorneyWhether You Can Operate a Business From Your Home

Dear Counselor: My husband and I want to operate a mail-order-type business out of our home. We live in a residential neighborhood. Are we going to get into some type of trouble with the city?

Dear Client: Zoning laws govern the use of land, and are enforced by government authorities. The regulations on home-based businesses (such as a law office, hair salon, computer repair, or private tutoring) vary from community to community, so you always have to check on what is allowed. Some zoning ordinances absolutely prohibit all in-home businesses in residential areas, and others allow them -- but require a special permit, with conditions (such as hours of operation). Usually, operating a business in a neighborhood depends upon what kind of business it is, and whether there will be delivery people, customers or employees coming to your home, parking issues, noise, hours of operation and things of that sort. There may also be private restrictions which have been recorded, apply to all homes in your subdivision, and speak to the issue of in-home businesses. So, before you go too far, check with your attorney and find out what public laws or private restrictions you need to contend with -- or you might find yourself in "hot water".

I am in the UK. Thinking of chaning my name. What is the legal procedures for the same please. Thanks all..

My husband is making a living will. He has my name on all his accounts but plans on leaving everything to his brothers & parents not to our children and me. Anyway... in the case he dies, since my name is on the accounts, will the money be withdrawn from my accounts to give to his family? How does it work? Thank you so much!!.

. NOTERY:

Put in the subject: accident, date, and location. . title it: Dear Mrs. XXX. . Then state the details, including the date, time and location of the accident in the letter. Make sure to include chapter and verse, the laws and regulations regarding the holding of car insurance and whether she admitted fault or not. If she is at fault and didn't admit to it, but the law is clear on fault (in case of a rear end accident for example), make sure to include chapter and verse the law she broke.. . The laws and driving code should be on your state website.. . Be nice, but firm. Make your expectations for reimbursement clear and the penalty (eg: being sued in court) for not doing so.. . Sign your name at the bottom and send it by certified mail.. . She just might try to settle out of court.

but if they keep it, there obviously WAS a file. Any thoughts?. To those with the very informative answers, I absofreakinlutely appreciate your help!.

Have him sign one. Get an attorney to draft one up for you and get a hold of his counsel (public defender/criminal attorney) and he can help you arrange to get it signed in prison.
