  • ‘Asbestos Cancer' Is Still Dangerous, Still Worth Fighting

For decades, mesothelioma, or "asbestos cancer," was a near-epidemic condition among certain classes of workers in the United States. Many of these victims had no idea what had befallen them, but they were dying of a mysterious ailment that stole their breath and eventually took their lives.

Companies knew absestos exposure could be dangerous to workers in the 1930s. Becuase the disease takes anywhere from 20-50 years to develop, people today are still becoming sick from absestos exposure decades ago. About 3,000 cases of mesothelioma are diagnosed in the U.S. each year.

Asbestos use in the U.S. has declined since the 1980s, and it might lead you to believe mesothelioma is a thing of the past. Unfortunately, it isn't. While our homes, workplaces and public spaces are no longer being built with asbestos, many existing structures still contain this killer carcinogen. In addition, the law still permits asbestos use in many commercial products like breaks, shingles, insulation and more. And, as the statistics show, thousands of people are still getting sick and dying from "asbestos cancer" every year.

lawyer Crystal Foley - El Segundo, CA Reviews

25 years ago I changed my name from my maiden name - Jones - to my then partners' name - Young - before our first child was born. I didn't do this through a solicitor, simply informed everyone that this was the name I wished to be known by.. When we married it was Young marrying Young.. We divorced 5 years later but I kept the name Young to be the same as my children.. Last month I remarried. We had the ceremony in abroad which is legally binding in the UK but under Mauritius law they insisted on using my maiden name of Jones on the certificate.. We didn't think that it would be too much of a problem until we got home and have tried to change my name on legal documents such as drivers' license, as there is no direct link from Jones to Young or from Young to my married name.. My bank have allowed me to change it on my accounts but I am anxious to change it on all things as I don't think my driving license is even legal with the incorrect information on it.. Has anyone else been in a similar situation or knowledge of what I could do?.

Is there a difference between a financial adviser and a financial consultant?

Writing a business letter.?

However, any petition where the signatures can not be checked for validity or a petition that is not properly written, is basically worthless except maybe to bring awareness to the issue. An email with a long list of names and email addresses sent to some CEO of some company is going to get the Delete button. A petition web site where people can put down any name they want (I tried one time and was able to "sign" a petition five times using variations of my name.) What CEO is going to spend time checking this kind of petition to see if someone signed more than once or that the email addresses given are valid?
