  • Rich White is a member of the Frac Sand, Mining and Minerals Litigation Sections. He practices in the areas of insurance defense and civil litigation for both public and private sector entities. Given his extensive experience as Eau Claire County District Attorney, Rich is also ideally suited to represent clients in white-collar and complex criminal matters. Based upon Rich’s network of contacts, he also assists frac sand and non-metallic mining entities with projects in western Wisconsin.

Rich White joined the firm after serving 22 years as a prosecutor in the Eau Claire County District Attorney’s office, the last 11 years as District Attorney. During his time as a prosecutor, Rich routinely handled complex criminal litigation matters, including a multitude of homicide, serious physical and sexual assault and white-collar crimes. His extensive litigation experience includes more than 200 jury trials. For over 17 years, Rich provided litigation related training to other prosecutors and attorneys from the Wisconsin Attorney General’s office at statewide District Attorney conferences in Wisconsin.

In addition to his criminal law and litigation background, Rich has a significant background in a wide variety of civil law matters. Following his 1982 graduation from the University of Wisconsin Law School, he was employed as a staff attorney by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Resources. He subsequently worked as a law clerk for Milwaukee and Pierce County courts and the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Wisconsin. Prior to becoming a prosecutor, Rich had a private law practice with an emphasis in civil litigation.

Over a 25 year time period, Rich has been involved in a wide array of civic organizations. His community volunteer activities have included serving on the Indian Waters Girl Scout Council Board of Directors, Indian Waters Girl Scout Council Finance Committee and the Eau Claire County Humane Association Board of Directors as President. He was also Chairperson of the Eau Claire County Humane Association Capital Campaign. Most recently, Rich has served on the Board of Directors of Eau Claire’s family homeless shelter operated by the Interfaith Hospitality Network and as Board President for Bob’s House for Dogs, an animal shelter and rescue for special needs dogs.

Away from work, Rich and his jogging companions, Hatti and Nellie, hit the streets on a regular basis. Rich and his wife Cindy proudly cheer on their daughter Elizabeth and Hatti as they compete in dog/handler agility competitions throughout Wisconsin and Minnesota. We should note that Rich and his family, even Hatti and Nellie, enjoy the companionship of their two cats, George and Murray, who came to them from the Eau Claire County Humane Association.

I've been told by many people that I look like a model and I am thin and fit. Should I call them and ask for an update? I really want this job and I'm kind of upset that I didn't even get a call to tell me what was going on... to the poster who said I was bragging - I only brought of looks because it is customary in the restaurant business (especially if you've been to a cactus club) to take looks into consideration and only hire servers/hosts they consider attractive. Unfortunately, it is due to physical appearance that a lot of people are turned down but they will rarely meet the hiring manager let alone the general manager, the host will just take the application and they leave..

im applying for a position, and it does ask for my resume, and they request a letter of introduction. i have no idea what exactly it is. this is the first time i have done anything like this. so can anyone help me!?. if its the samething, then i know what to do for a cover letter.

A cover letter is a business letter written to a prospective employer to express your interest in and qualifications for a position. It accompanies your resume and serves as an introduction to your resume.". . Microsoft Word has templates for both cover letters and resumes.. . And you could also do a Google search of "resume examples for high school student" or "cover letter examples"
