The real purpose of a business plan is often distorted and made solely to keep the bank happy. A real business plan is a working tool, something that you and your bank manager can use to keep track of how well your business is doing. For example, you may show that in your first month, say march, you will spend spend spend. Income will be expected to be a 10th of what you spend so you're running at a loss, and you expect the next month to be the same. But by the fifth month, you're expecting a and b to happen so income will triple.
