• Kathryn Vaughan has a diverse legal background, including judicial clerkships with the Oklahoma Court of Civil Appeals and the Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals, a three-year position as a staff attorney with the Oklahoma House of Representatives, and various positions in the private sector in Oklahoma and Texas. Kathryn’s 25-year practice has focused primarily on the areas of corporate litigation (defense), class action defense, insurance coverage litigation, and appellate practice.

  Ms. Vaughan is currently involved in the representation and defense of a major auto insurance company in various complex class-action cases in multiple U.S. jurisdictions. Kathryn has authored many federal Circuit Court of Appeals briefs, federal district court briefs, motions and pleadings, as well as many state appellate and local court motions, briefs and other items. Kathryn also participated in the drafting of briefs in a matter heard before the United States Supreme Court which resulted in a favorable ruling for the client insurer. Kathryn is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association and is admitted to practice law in Oklahoma.

• Meloney Perry focuses her practice on insurance class-action and bad-faith litigation. Ms. Perry is currently involved in defending a major auto insurance company in complex, insurance regulatory and/or class-action litigation in multiple jurisdictions. The case topics include, but are not limited to, a challenge to the use of medical audit vendors and privacy of medical records, an attack on the method in which uninsured motorist coverage is rejected, the practice of deducting "betterment" in adjusting automobile property damage claims, and the use of credit scores in the underwriting process. Additionally, she has been involved in extensive policy forms drafting, legislation and/or lobbying efforts, and negotiations with various governmental agencies.
