I am getting married next year, and can't decide what to do with my name. I know I want to take my future husband's name, I just don't know if I should drop my own or hyphenate. It's a bit of a problem because I have my own business, and my last name is part of the business name. Can I have a different last name legally, but still use my maiden name in some circumstances? In Canada, it is a much more complicated process to hyphenate when one gets married than it is to just adopt a new name.. . What did all of you do when you got married?
