One of my employers taxed me for Ohio when they should have been taxing me for Kentucky because I live in Kentucky. When I am doing my taxes, filing as a resident of Kentucky and non resident of Ohio, it is coming up that I owe a significant amount for Kentucky and a small amount for Ohio. Why should I owe for Ohio when it was being taken out? And why do I owe a ridiculous amount for Kentucky when Kentucky was being taken out for my other jobs that took ky out correctly as it should have. Was this calculation correct or should I have been doing something differently when I filed. This has been very hectic and I appreciate any knowledgeable answers. I already paid $10 online just to file for an additional state and if something is wrong and I wasted the money to even do so I am going to be upset..
