• Partner Raymond S. Papperman is the Chairman of Cooper Levenson's Environmental Law practice group and a member of the Real Estate practice group. Ray concentrates his practice on environmental litigation and the environmental components of development, business, and real estate transactions, including permitting, compliance, and site remediation. He also devotes time to Land Use, Civil Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution. Ray is based in the firm’s Cherry Hill office.

  He is a member and Past Chair of the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Environmental Law Section, a Vice Chair of the American Bar Association’s Toxic Tort and Environmental Law Committee and a frequent speaker and author on a host of environmental and real estate development topics.

  Ray has extensive experience in Alternative Dispute Resolution in the environmental, construction, and land use litigation areas. He is named to the New Jersey Judiciary’s roster of mediators for the statewide mediation program, focusing on these areas.

  He is also a member of the New Jersey Builders Association, where he serves on the Environmental Committee and is a Master of the New Jersey American Environmental Inn of Court, where he serves on the executive committee.

  Ray attended Cornell University and is a graduate of Hobart College. He received his J.D. from Tulane University Law School. He is admitted to the bar in New Jersey, to the Third Circuit Court of Appeals and the U. S. Supreme Court.
