WELL I spoke to my Marine Wife friend about it and she showed me her POA and its all very nicely typed out, very formal and nothing is in her hand writing or her husbands except for signatures.

There is more than 1 sort of Power of Attorney. . A POA for health care.. meaning the appointed person named has the legal right to make decisions in healthcare matters for the signer of the POA. This would include discussing care, treatments with the docs and will include the decision to discontinue life support if the docs say there is no hope and recommend a Do Not Resuscitate and stopping treatments.. The other POA is a legal document that can be custom tailored to be very specific on what business and legal transactions can be conducted on the behalf of the signer. It can be for every aspect of the signer's legal/business/health care issues- depends on what areas the signer decides to grant the designated person power over.. . If there is a dispute over the will and it's bequests, you need to have an attorney go over the will now before grandma dies to decide how to proceed if you are going to contest the will. Once she passes away it will be harder to revoke the will.. If you feel sister used undue influence and took advantage you need to move fast if your grandmother is unable to talk coherently and communicate her needs. The attorney she is familiar with may wish to visit her to ascertain what she wants, doctors can be interviewed to see if she would have been mentally incompetent from a legal standpoint to execute a will back in September 2007. Right now you have more control than sister does. If the will holds up and is not contested, your sister holds the cards once Grandma dies.
