At Corpina, Piergrossi, Klar & Peterman, LLP, we don't accept every personal injury or wrongful death case that walks in our door. After more than 40 years, we have a good understanding of what case has merit. We are not a settlement mill law firm. If we take your case, we will be committed to you from beginning to end. You will be working with more than just the lawyer who handles your case. Our entire team will fight to win.

Aggressive strategies ? Intelligent preparation ? Focused on results

CPKP has earned a reputation for our integrity and for our commitment to providing the highest levels of client services. We are a personal injury law firm that other lawyers often turn to when their client's are facing obstacles to getting the justice they deserve. We have the professional, technical, and independent resources to prepare every case to fight for a maximum jury award in court. Opposing insurance lawyers know they will be facing a winning team of experienced trial lawyers. That means they have to come to the table with a fair settlement offer, or face a jury trial for significant damages.

A proud member of the Bronx Chamber of Commerce and here to stay

New York City is full of lawyers and law firms that are here one day, gone the next. Every attorney at our firm has deep roots in the Bronx community. For example, attorney Lawrence Piergrossi is a former president of the Bronx County Bar Association. We are raising our children watching Yankees, Mets, Knicks and Rangers games. From our offices in our own building near Bronx landmarks such as Jacobi Hospital, Botanical Gardens, the Bronx Zoo and the Einstein College of Medicine, we proudly represent residents of the five boroughs of New York and surrounding communities. Our offices have convenient street parking. If you can't come to us because of your injuries, we will come to you.

However, what happens if she is not deterred and so changes the child's surname in opposition to the wishes of the child's father? In that case the father can apply to the court under the Children Act and ask the court to decide a "specific issue" - namely, whether the child's surname should be changed or not.. .

You can't figure the life interest in less you are planning on killing your mother and her sisters. A life estate is exactly what it sounds like. They have a possessory right to the property for as long as they are alive. They can sell their individual interest in the property as they please. However they cannot convey an interest greater than they have, so if they sold the property it would revert to you and and the two other grandchildren upon death. You have a vested remainder in fee simple absolute, but you have no present possessory interest in the property. If you all wish to sell, there is no simple formula for determining what your mother and her sisters interest should be. The value of a life estate is contingent on the ages and expected life spans of your mother and her sister. It is worth significantly less than the future interest that you and the other grandchildren. If you can't agree on terms there is nothing to prevent your mother and her sisters from selling their life estate seperately, and you and the grandchildren can sell your vested remainder in fee simple absolute individually. However you are more apt to find a willing purchaser if you can come to some agreement, combine your property interests, and convey the property in fee simple absolute. In any event you are in the stronger bargaining position as not too many people would be willing to purchase a life estate.. . Note:. The other response I saw is 100% incorrect. Life estates are freely transferable. The person buying the life estate only retains in the interest in the property so long as the original holder of the life estate remains alive and they become the holder of a life estate pur autre vie.

It depends on the therapist. There is confidentiality agreement between therapist and patient, but the decision about whether or not you sit in may be left up to your friend. On the other hand, neither she nor her therapist could be sure you wouldn't tell anyone what was said in that room. I'm not saying your friend doesn't trust you, I'm just saying they could never be absolutely sure. There may be legal reasons why a therapist wouldn't let you in, and it would be to do with the verbal confidentiality agreement all therapists enter with their clients.
