. my ex and I purchased a small ranch with a house for approximately $165000 in Oct 2005 in Texas, we have divorced and want to sell the property, but not sure what the capital gains taxes will be...It is appraised between 200k-220k, there have been about 25k in improvements to the property that raised the appraised value to where it is now... it was to be a property to 'play' until we retired and then move there to live...we both still own our individual homes.
