how to write a letter of application?

You've left a lot of pertinent information missing. So I cannot give you the best advice possible. I do not know if Grandparents have full custody or temporary custody order. On what grounds was any order obtained on. Abandonment sounds like the most likely culprit, but that's an assumption and I don't care for making assumptions.

My dad treats her horribly and he doesn't care if he's on her will her not. He doesn't want to help her with anything. He has said that when she goes, he will throw everything in the house/garage away. I constantly tell her that if he's upsetting her on the phone (like he does so often and she has high blood pressure), to just hang up on him, so she is well aware he's disrespectful. I know that he will make things so much harder when she passes because he is very insensitive about everything. I also know that with the way he treats her, he doesn't deserve to inherit her house and I, as well as my other sisters will be upset that he got that when he doesn't care or respect her.
