It sounds like someone in the Apt office is trying to appease your neighbor, and violating your rights in the process.. . I don't know where you live. If it's in the US, then a $250 fine for "walking loudly" is unenforceable unless "walking loudly" is specifically prohibited in your lease. The Apt office would have to cite a specific paragraph in the lease that prohibits this.. . There may be a provision in your lease saying that you are not allowed to interfere with other tenants' "quiet enjoyment" of their rental units. That means you can't constantly have loud parties or other raucous goings-on that disturb the neighbors. It doesn't mean you can't walk around in the middle of the night.. . Tenants have the right to be up in the midldle of the night and to make a reasonable amount of noise. Especially if they have a new baby, who also has a right to make noise in the middle of the night. Families with small children make noise, and in the US it is against the law to discriminate against families with small children.. . I would tell them *in writing* that you consider this notice a form of harrassment and discrimination against families with small children. I would send copies of the letter both to the office and to whoever is above them in the chain of command.

I'm not a New York lawyer, but do you mean a Trust when you say "living will"? If the property is held in trust, then if on aunt's death you are the beneficiary, then probate is not needed. But if it is pursuant to a will, then probate would be needed, at least in my states.

. Thanks!.

My husband just left yesterday for Boot Camp. The list from the recruiter (who was also a drill seargent) said to bring:. . 2 Sets Civilian Clothes (jeans or slacks for pants). 5 Pairs breifs/boxer breifs (black, grey or neutral). 3 Pairs White Crew Socks. 1 Pair running shoes. 1 Pair shower shoes (black). 2 Combonation Locks. Toothbrush. Toothbrush Holder. Toothpaste. Disposable Razors. Shaving Cream (Non-Aersol). Foot Powder/Cream. Cough Drops. Deoderent (Non-Aersoal). Shampoo/Conditioner. Soap. Soap Container. Stamps. Envelopes. Paper. Pocket Notebook. Pens. Phone Card(s). Black Digital Watch (with alarm and military time). Shoe Polish Kit (Leather). . Also... ATM Card. Personal Checks. Direct Deposit Form. Birth Certificate. Drivers License. Social Security Card. . If Married..Your Wife's. Birth Certificate. Social Security Card (Copy). Drivers License (Copy). Power of Attorney. . If Children... Birth Certificates. . It also has to all be in a black bag/suitcase that is regulation size as a carry-on for the plane. It seems like a lot, but it all fits just fine.. . The Army will issue everything else you need (uniforms, boots, etc). Also, there will be a store for you to pick up little odd's and end's that you might forget.

My great aunt is in her 90's and signed over Power of attorney to her grandson when she was very ill. She is now back in good health and is unhappy about the way her is handeling her finances. Can she revolk the power of attorney? Does she need to contact a lawyer?.

If I pass away then my estate could have creditors and probably will. For one thing, I'll have a funeral to pay for and probably some final medical bills and utility bills to pay. My estate will owe that money because I have a contract to pay my medical bills, utility bills and such.. . If your estranged sister in law lent the deceased person money then that person's estate could owe her the balance on the loan. But that is all she would be owed.. . If she is named as a beneficiary of the estate then she would get her fair share.. . She can't step up and claim a portion simply because she is an in-law. Since your brother divorced her she is no longer family under the law.
