  • I was born on the East Coast and grew up in a small town in Northern California. I was very fortunate to have a loving family, and I had a wonderful upbringing with my brother and sister with whom I remain very close to this day. I was very active in high school activities, including several honor societies, and was a member of the Youth Council in the City where I lived.

I attended the University of California at Berkeley where I resided in a sorority. I met many wonderful people from very different backgrounds with whom I continue to maintain friendships to this day. I was an English Literature major which allowed me to indulge my passion in reading the classics. I managed to fit in a little fun time by joining the Cal rally committee. We assisted with raising team spirit, for what was at that time, a losing football team. Nevertheless, we had a lot of fun, and I remain a Cal football supporter to this day. Go Bears!

I graduated from the University of California, Phi Beta Kappa, and was accepted to the University of California, San Francisco, Hastings College of the Law.

During my years at Hastings, I met my husband, who was a physicist at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in Livermore. After graduation, I moved to Livermore and began working at the firm of Staley, Young & Schwartz. The Senior Partner at Staley, Young & Schwartz was an experienced Family Law practitioner, and I spent three years learning about the practice of Family Law from him.

When I was at Staley, Young & Schwartz, I was lucky enough to meet Rosemeri Cheng, an experienced local Family Law attorney. She and I began a partnership in 1985, where we continue to practice to this day. I have been very fortunate to work with Rosemeri as I have benefited from her experience and knowledge of the local Court system. I believe that the knowledge and experience I have gained in practicing Family Law for almost 30 years in our local area is a great benefit to our clients. Rosemeri and I both work very hard to achieve the results our clients desire.

Practicing law and raising two sons have kept me very busy, but I have gained much experience and insight from both areas of my life. The experiences that I have had, and the people that I have met, have enriched my life immeasurably, and I am very grateful to my family, my partner, my staff and my clients for all they have done for me.

Cover Letter Help. Dear....?

Just write a letter. It's a petition in the sense that you are petitioning, or asking, something from them, not a petition in the sense it probably sounds like, where a group of citizens are petitioning government and collecting a lot of signatures to show that many people want the government to do whatever it is. If you left only because you couldn't afford it and you weren't kicked out, it is almost certainly a formality for you -- they're treating everyone who wants reinstatement the same, and they want anyone they actually kicked out for inappropriate behavior, lousy grades, etc., to present an argument for why they should be allowed back.. . If you've ever been trained to write a business letter, follow that model. If you haven't, see whether you can find a model online somewhere. But the substance is more important than the style. You should include:. . 1. an explanation of what you want (to be reinstated as a student and to be allowed to enroll in classes during the Fall 2010 semester? to be assigned a dorm room if one is still available?). . 2. a brief statement of why you are in this position now. . 2a. a description of the situation when you were last a student (which semester? I assume you were in good standing academically? were you up to date on any bills?). . 2b. an explanation of your absence from school (withdrew because couldn't afford) and which semesters you missed. . 2c. an explanation of why things are different now (you have straightened out your finances? will be able to pay your tuition with a combination of loans, grants, savings?). If you left school owing them money and you haven't paid it yet, this would be the place to stress that they will be receiving the funds prior to the start of the Fall semester. . 3. a brief expression of gratitude that they are considering your request. . Given that it is now August, I would probably make sure I knew exactly where the letter needed to go and fax a copy (if you don't have a fax machine, see whether you have a UPS Store or a Kinko's or something near you

Specially formulated green coolant offers superior cooling qualities with corrosion inhibitors added to protect system components..

I feel that purchasing a used vehicle simply to avoid a high sticker price will cost you more in the long run with a used vehicle when it comes to repair. . My aunt has suggested that Provox would be better investment. Other alternatives would be a Platz or an X. While it's true that the initial cost of a new vehicle will be more than a used one, at least you know what you're paying for.. . It is usually difficult to verify the reliability of the used vehicle and what conditions it was under with its previous owner. All the parts are straight from the manufacturer and you are able to keep track of any wear and tear with your newly owned vehicle.. . You will save more money and be much happier with a new car.. . Respectfully yours,.

Dear Members of the (Petition/Appeal) Committee: . I am writing this letter in order to waive the decision to withdraw for one year and petition for readmission for the fall 2012 term.. Circumstances that affected my academic performance were (1) health condition of my mother and (2) my working schedule. . My petition makes references to the following supporting documents (1) Appointments dates for my mother's illness and (2) Record of employment.

ICICI or any other private insurance provider is anyway on my personal black list (esp. ICICI), because their payout record is not out in the open yet - only their premium collection. (and they do have policies that cost more than LIC at lower benefits. You just have to read the fine print to find that out)
