Can I have ideas on articles I can do? Preferably an article which I can make gossipy?.

He can sign a General Power of Attorney appointing you as his agent to deal with his assets. his is particularly vulnerable, as you say he is in his 90s as the death of the principal (in this case your father) invalidates your right as his agent.

You firstly need to write to the company involved complaining - templates are in the links given by other answers here. The company is then allowed up to 8 weeks to respond. If you are unhappy with the response, or do not receive a response in that 8 weeks period, you can take your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service who will make an impartial judgement on the complaint (although they decide in favour of the consumer in approx. 90% of cases). Sadly due to the sheer volume of these it could take a very long time to be resolved through FOS.. . Ed Fox does make some fair points actually, namely that many people are coerced into complaining by so called "claims management companies" when in fact the PPI policy was entirely suitable and they have in fact claimed on it!? A clear case of band wagon jumping and the reason why the rate at FOS is only 90% instead of 100%. However an awful lot of people were mis-sold this product and can get their money back. In your fella's case it could be suggested that at the point of sale the policy was suitable but as his Dad lost his job it then meant he could not claim - could be a problem and will very much depend on whether your fella signed anything to say he read terms and conditions that stated this to be the case and agreed to them (advisors could never be expected to bring every single potential situation up at point of sale but the terms and conditions must say it).

You know how most jobs you are an at will employee meaning you can be fired at anytime for any* reason.. What are examples of jobs that are not at will if there are any?.

Make sure you CHECK your SPELLING before submitting your INQUIRY!!!

Think of this letter as a opportunity to have spoken with the hiring manager while riding in an elevator. You have their undivided attention, but for only two minutes. You do your pitch: what you want, why you should be considered, a quick recap and thank you. You're telling them the benefit of hiring you, but also that you've done your homework and you know that this company and/or this job is a good fit for you. Remember also that this short letter serves as your writing example. Job applicants that can write well are particularly valuable. Notice that I at this point, I don't even know for which position you are applying yet I still insist that if you can competently rub two words together, that is, compose a cognicent set of paragraphs in a properly formated letter, you are far more valuable then someone who can't. I assure you that is true for both hiring people just out of school or those who have been in the work force for many, many years. Why? because you can communicate, which means there's a pretty good chance you can read directions, pass them along, and report back
