Okay, so I'm doing this essay contest and the theme is German Immigration to Cincinnati Ohio in the 1860"s from the point of view of a kid my age,I know how I want to write it, but just one little problem, there is some info i need that i can't find on the internet, Did German girls go to school in the 1860's i know its doesn't seem that big but I need to know it for how I'm writing the essay.. . Also, well the Essay requires info. about how they got to Cincinnati, where they lived, what they lived in(house/apt), what the father's job was, what music hall was like then, and also groups or clubs that German immigrants were involved with. I can probably find most of this on the internet and the library, but I want to know what you know and any ideas you have for the essay, also if you have some ancestor that immigrated here(preferably Cincinnati, but if it wasn't there its still OK) and you know the story I'd like to know it for a more personal side of it, any information on the subject is welcome. thanks. I'm only just starting but i looked for over two hours for the girls and school thing, and some of the other stuff but couldn't find it, I'm not done researching, just thought that i might as well put all the info i need in there while i was asking the school question, I'm not looking for the easy way out or anything by asking on here, i just thought i get info from more than one site and more than one person, i'm looking for different views and stories of ancestors if possible, i'm trying to get as much info as possible so please, do not assume I'm trying to do as little work as possible, sorry if this seem arrogant but every time i ask a question on here someone says something rude like I'm cheating or whatever but really I'm trying to best i possibly can and i don't feel like I've done that until i have done everything i can for correct and thorough information.

My opinion is no, but you can change your name legally for any reason you want. I frankly think if the name is common, it is less likely they would find you, or the right family. In many places, people in high risk areas are not even allowed to use their last name at work. I worked in the Hospital ER and our last name was not even on our name tag only our first with RN, MD, or whatever our title was. I was glad since my last name is extremely uncommon and very easy to find anywhere and have the right family.

If that's your reason then that is what you indicate. Bear in mind a name change has significant legal repercussions and may cause issues with taxes, social security, etc. The court may refuse the change.

"The biggest negative is that you never build equity. That's fine if there is appreciation, not so good in a down market, because the value of the note goes down if it has to be sold," said Stephen J. Hanleigh, president of the Santa Clara County Association of Realtors in San Jose, CA.

The lawyer will keep it simple. Draw up the papers and call him. He either just signs them and be done with it or you will call his command and the IG.

Definition of a contract.... . Voluntary, deliberate, and legally enforceable (binding) agreement between two or more competent parties. A contractual relationship is evidenced by (1) an offer, (2) acceptance of the offer, and a (3) valid (legal and valuable) consideration. Each party to a contract acquires rights and duties relative to the rights and duties of the other parties. However, while all parties may expect a fair benefit from the contract (otherwise courts may set it aside as inequitable) it does not follow that each party will benefit to an equal extent. Existence of contractual-relationship does not necessarily mean the contract is enforceable, or that it is not void (see void contract) or voidable (see voidable Contract). Contracts are normally enforceable whether or not in a written form, although a written contract protects all parties to it. Some contracts, (such as for sale of real property, hire purchase agreements, insurance policies) must be in writing to be legally binding and enforceable. Other contracts (see implied in fact contract and implied in law contract) are assumed in, and enforced by, law whether or not the involved parties desired to enter into a contract..
