• In 1989, Dean Mead opened its first office in Brevard County where Mason Blake and the firm began intensive work for the development of a new town in Brevard County known as Viera. In 1992, when Leonard Spielvogel and Paul Goldman joined the firm, a second Brevard County office was opened in Merritt Island. In 2003, those two offices were combined into one location in Viera, where the firm conducts business under the name Dean Mead.

  Dean Mead worked closely alongside our client, agricultural company Duda & Co., throughout the establishment of the wholly-owned subsidiary, The Viera Company, to manage development of Viera and the company's non-agricultural land holdings. Over the course of many years, we have maintained a strong working relationship with Duda. Dean Mead has invested in Viera since the beginning and is committed to its ongoing success. What was once open land on the company's ranch has developed into the home of many of the county government's buildings and flourished into a master planned community.
