  • I obtained my undergraduate degree in 1977 from the University of Arizona in Business Administration. I put that degree to work in the banking industry until 1990. I obtained valuable experience in lending, mortgages, and real estate transactions. However, I wanted to pursue my dream of becoming an attorney to help people. With the support of my family, I made a decision to go back to school and earn my law degree at the University of Puget Sound. In 1993, I graduated and have been practicing family law ever since.

To be successful in business, I had to put the client first. That experience enabled me to be a better lawyer, sensitive to a client's concerns and goals.

In every case, I am committed to giving my very best to successfully guide them to lasting solutions. I also make quality communication a high priority, keeping clients informed of the status of their cases at all times. When you call the University Place office, you will speak directly with me.

Since 1993, the majority of my practice has been devoted to family law. As a husband and father, I have particular empathy for families going through difficult times. I walk clients through the complexities of contested and uncontested divorce, spousal support, child custody and parenting plans, child support, asset and debt division, parental relocation, paternity and a wide array of other family law issues.

However, I maintain a special focus on military divorce. Located close to Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM), I am very familiar with the unique issues that arise from the demands of military regulations and policies. I am also an ex-military service member myself. From dividing military pensions and retirement packages to navigating the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act, you can count on me to uphold your rights and interests.

My law firm also handles elder law cases involving Medicare and Medicaid and assists clients with wills, trusts and probate matters.

Stuart contracts to act in a comedy for Charlotte and to comply with all theater regulations for four seasons. Charlotte promises to pay Stuart $800 for each performance and to allow Stuart one benefit performance each season. It is expressly agreed "Stuart shall not be employed in any other production for the period of the contract." Stuart and Charlotte, during the first year of contract, have a terrible quarrel. Thereafter, Stuart signs a contract to perform in Elaine's production and ceases performaing for Charlotte. Charlotte seeks (a) to prevent Stuart from performing for Elaine and (b) to require Stuart to perform his contract with Charlotte. . What result? . Please fully explain your answer . Thank you very much for your help!.

Unless you have a complicated estate, your best bet would be to purchase a will planning software and make your own will, then take it to your bank or credit union and have your signature notarized. (Most banks and credit unions will notarize for free for their customers.) Your state legal aid agency will probably have a pamphlet available regarding estate planning and also a lot of funeral homes have this information available too. You can get a living will available at most hospitals if the planning software doesn't already have it included.

I have a write a letter to the author of the book that I read but it required me to compose a block style formatted letter by using Microsoft Word. Can anyone tell me how to do that ?.

Where can I find record of a power of attorney?

What is the difference between "Power of Attorney' & 'Conservatorship' ?

Has anyone changed their name by deed poll to a novelty / fun name ?. . I'm 48 yrs old so not a kid but I fancy a novelty name, it's something I've thought about for a long time and isn't a spur of the moment thing.. . Some friends say it's a stupid idea, others say it's a great idea.. . I'm single now so it's not as though anyone else will be affected or embarrassed, I just see it as a bit of fun and a way of snubbing authorities.. . If the worst came to the worst I could always change back so I don't think I've a lot to lose.. . What do others think ? Good idea or bad ?.
