Has anyone recently bought a house and recieved the 8000 tax credit, and then just recently recieved a letter from the IRS wanting information on you living there? Example change of address on ID, license, post office, moving company, bank statements, and paystubs? Please let me know. And no smarty pants please and thank you.. Thanks for your help to everyone being sincere :). Well i didn't change my address on my license and car registration until like last week and i bought the house in april, reason being i work alot and DMV isn't open late, post office i thought i did but i guess i only changed the stuff online, so it just started sending it to my house if that makes sense. The bank statment i have, and a pay stub, i just feel like i should supply more than they are asking does that makes sense or am i just freaking out for no reason?. Oh yeah and once again i said no smart comments! and it has nothing to do with paying my taxes you idiot! It has to do with recieving the tax credit if you would of read the question correctly you would of seen that. Asking why they send these letters out, not why they want to me to pay money that doesn't exist, that i don't have to pay. Again if you have a smart comment please leave it out. Thanks. One other detail like i said i didn't change my address on my License and on my registration until really late due to working late and places not being open. I am afraid if i send those that it will be suspicious due to the date being so recent what do you think? I do have two things that i did do right away so i can send those two, just wondering if i send my license and registration date late would that look bad or would that be ok?.

Which one would you chose and why. I've heard that Attorneys in California working solo make more money and are happier than those in Texas. I don't know..

My dads liver is dying...?

Generally, you will need to go to court to have her declared legally mentally incompetent. You mother will have to be examined by a psychologist and the Dr. will determine if she is competent. The court will then rule whether she is legally competent and a guardian will be appointed over her and her estate. You can petition that the court make you her guardian but the court can choose anyone it wants.. . I don't know exactly what the rules are in Texas but you could either contact a lawyer who specializes in family or elder law or call your local legal clinic.. . I'm sorry you have to go through this. It's always hard to watch loved ones get to this point. Good luck.

. Seems like such a waste. I hope to someday be rich enough to let my kids borrow from me instead of the bank. I can use the interest to buy them something nice..
