I heard of a thing called "Home birth" where the mother has the child at home and never gets a birth certificate in certain groups (like some of the Amish). Now I was wondering, when they get older (like 19) how they can get a social security number or a license?.

my father died leaving bank and property issues in india. My mother cannot travel so she has asked me to act on her behalf.

I have been advised that it is better to transfer title of my variable annuity into my living trust. I have also been told to just make the living trust the beneficiary of my variable annuity. I live in California. Can you point me in the right direction..

Our wedding is November 10, 2012. What are things we should do from now until the end of June? And so on?.

My paternal family arrived in America in the early 1700's when Jacob Greib, a German, stepped off a cargo ship in Philadelphia, PA. He settled in PA, and about 3 generations later, the name "Greib" mutated into "Cripe", due to the hard pronunciation of consonants in the German language. It remains Cripe today.. . Incidently, when my brother married his wife, they both changed their names from German-descended surnames (Cripe and Kiel) to McNamara, the surname of her maternal grandfather, whom I was told had no male heirs, and this was a way to continue that family name.. . That left me to continue my father's name, so I had to run out, get married, and have kids before I got too old.
