Ok. So me and my husband are both from out of this country.. I was raised in the US, so I have a citizenship.. My husband came here on a student visa, is still on a student visa,. so we decided to file for adjustment of status through marriage.. . We searched here and there for an attorney to help us out,. and we were introduced to a law office from some people we know.. It was an hour and a half away from where we currently live,. but it was cheaper than in my town,. and we credited the office because someone we know worked with them.. . The first day we couldn't decide if wanted to start the process or not,. ONE, because the initial counseling was done by a paralegal. and not the attorney himself. When we asked why we weren't notified,. they said its because its a free counseling and the attorney is busy.. I said we would've been glad to postpone the meeting until the attorney. was not busy had the office told us about it, and they just smirked.. TWO, we didn't have any deposit money ready to go that day.. We were just expecting to talk, see how the process goes, etc.. Not that we were just there for freebie information,. we didn't wanna just decide on the spot and regret it.. . We slept on it for three days,. and my husband felt it was ok to process the case with them. so we called them up.. They said that they can send us an e-mail with a credit authorization form. and that we can fill out the information and send it over,. and they will e-mail back to us a packet with the necessary documents to start.. . So we did. . But because it contains such confidential information,. we wanted to make sure it got there,. so we called around an hour later after sending the e-mail.. E-mail sent around 1, called around 3, office closes at 5.. and this is Friday.. The front desk lady said the attorneys are all away (don't know where they are). and the paralegal that we talked to was gone for the day.. We waited over the weekend and called in on Monday to see if they got it.. They said they don't have it.. Another 3 to 4 phone calls went back and forth. and 4 e-mails were sent (THE SAME EMAIL TO THE SAME ADDRESS) . before they finally said "we got it".. . Now, the credit card was credited $500 for deposit immediately. as of opening up the e-mail.. But we never got a packet.. Waited, waited, waited and decided to call back.. It was already 4:30 and we didn't know . if we were every gonna get that packet before the office closed.. The lady said "ASAP", and when we asked if that was gonna be today. she said "maybe tomorrow".. . My husband got really upset because of all these. not-so-smooth process so far.. I told him attorneys where ever you go will not be up to speed with you.. But since he said he felt really upset about it,. I told him to call up the law office and ask for a refund. since we never got the packet anyway.. . First thing in the morning,. my husband calls up at 9:09 AM,. and says "hello" as of picking up the phone.. Before he can say one more word,. the desk lady cuts him off with a "hold on". and puts him on hold.. My husband comes over to me and says she put me on hold.. I tell him you should've said what you wanted to say. before she put you on hold,. snatch the phone, hangs up, calls the office again at 9:12 AM.. I tell them we don't want the packet, we just want a refund.. The desk lady says "But we already sent the packet.". The e-mail is posted at 9:12AM,. and apparently the desk lady sent him a packet after putting him on hold.. . I told the lady this isn't fair because we called to say we don't want the packet. but the desk lady just sent it to us.. We said we don't want it, you should've listened to the person who called you. before just automatically putting them on hold.. . They now accuse of us some kind of cheap a**holes. who purposely gets the packet and complains for a refund.. . We didn't want it, we even called them first before they sent it out.. . Can we get a refund for this?. I put that packet e-mail right to trash... The credit card authorization is the only thing we signed,. there was no attorney legal agreement that normal attorneys make you sign first.. They told me over the phone that its because. we decided to not come to the office and get it through e-mail.. (If that makes any sense).

Interactive websites provide standards-based, cross curricular web resources?designed to enhance online learning opportunities. These sites interact with the user usually through either a text-based or graphical user interface. For instance, an interactive on-line tutorial is considered to be an interactive web page. Interactive web pages have various degrees of adaptability (based upon user input), sophistication, and responsiveness.. . Although some people may generally use the term as being synomous with a modern web page, do not confuse the term 'interactive web page' with a multi-media web page. Also, it is not the same as a common web page that has hyperlinks, or forms which process information requests, and present responses based upon user input. Interactive web pages are concerned with learning and academics
