• In 1982, after nine years of service to state government, Howard W. Feldman entered the private practice of law. In 1987, Stanley N. Wasser left state government after twelve years and the firm of Feldman & Wasser was founded. Later that year, the firm expanded rapidly. Carl R. Draper, former Counsel to Governor James R. Thompson, and Fredric Benson, former Corporation Counsel for the City of Springfield joined the firm. In 1996, the firm adopted the name, Feldman, Wasser, Draper & Benson. In 1999, J. Randall Cox also became a partner with the firm after being with the firm since 1991 as an associate.? In January 2008, with?Fredric Benson's retirement,?the firm modified its name to what it is currently - Feldman, Wasser, Draper & Cox.
