My father purchased 1000 shares of M/s Engel India Machine & Tools Ltd, Kolkata in the year 1963. After that the company became sick and was taken over by West Bengal government in the early 1970s. It changed its name to Engel India Machine & Tools (1987) Pvt Ltd in the year 1987 but did not send any circular or letter of notification to my father. From the media it is understood that the said company has been taken over by M/s Megatherm Electronics Pvt Ltd as a joint venture with West Bengal govt. But no intimation was sent to my father this time also. It is also understood from the media that the company has now made profit and the share of profit was given to Govt of West Bengal for the fiscal 2006-2007. In spite of writing to the new management with photocopy of all the share holdings no response has been received so far. Acknowledged copies of all letters written are with my father. What can my father do next to get justice ?.
