    October 27, 2006: A Ventura County jury awarded $18.4 million to a 26 year Vons Clerk who was fired after complaining that a female supervisor sexually harassed him. The jury in the civil case awarded James Stevens $1.672 million for his economic loss and emotional distress claims. Jurors returned an additional verdict of $16.73 million in punitive damages, finding that Vons had retaliated against Mr. Stevens. Mr. Stevens was represented by Roxanne A. My question is basically this: Before the new bills, a woman like myself could not get any free health care provided by the government, unless I had a child. Is health care "universal" now? And is there a free insurance option available to me, a woman in her 20's who is not in school and has no child? Did anything actually change? Or will it?. . If I've ever asked anyone a question like this, it's usually met by a resounding "NO." "You are able bodied, young, and can pay for your own insurance." That is true, but it isn't always as easy as it seems when you're starting off. And the insurance policies available to someone who doesn't have a whole lot of money to throw at it every month - they just don't cover you very much at all! Does anyone know anything about this?.
