You say that your Brother made the loan against your Mothers House, that was owned outright.

It is a non-living entity that acts as an umbrella for all of your financial needs. It avoids probate upon death and allows for seamless takeover of any type of asset at the death of the trustee.( The trustee is the person who is running or managing the trust) There can be multiple trustees, for example a husband or wife, brother and sister, etc.... . There are many kinds of trusts, Typical trusts can be split into a Bypass trust or B trust that can pass onto grandkids free of Estate tax.. . There are dozens of different types of trusts for very specific needs, so ask an attorney which trust would be best for your situation.. . Good Luck

Once you get the copies, go to the SS office, take your birth certificate with you. I had to wait until I got my new card to do much else. I went to the DMV and had it changed (take the marriage cert with you, too).

This fall I will be a 20 year old junior in college at the University of Iowa. I have lived in Iowa City my entire life and I am looking for a change (I have a very adventurous side) and the U of I doesn't offer the major I want, so, in the spring I am planning to transfer to Depaul University's College of Commerce (located by the loop). Not only do I want to go to school in Chicago, but I want to start my life in Chicago. Will it be possible for me to find a job, being a 20 year old undergrad with only a year and a half of work exp.? I would probably take a lot of night classes if I had to. Would I be able to find a decent apartment for a good price and in a decent neighborhood? Do I have to have a roomate or can I do it solo? Would it just be to difficult to balance work, life, and school in a foreign place? Would I survive :)?.
