East Coast Road Trip?

Yes you can change your name starting with your birth certificate. You need that in order to get the passport and then you can change the passport. You have to get about 4 photos and get them signed by a lawyer, JP etc.(for passport).

im 15, my biological father has not seen me since i was a couple months old, and has never made much of an effort to make contact. . (however my mom told me that he had no rights over me, and shared custody over my brother and sisters, and then she told my step dad its the other way around so i don't know what the custody agreement is. and he did buy me a phone but he wouldn't reply and he kept changing numbers and then stopped texting so yeah). anyways my mom married my step dad and took his surname, i still have my bio-dads last name and my step-ad wants me to change my surname to theirs. so we got bio-dads number off my sis and contacted him. they talked about it with him but he was mucking them round (and i did talk to him briefly and he had me in tears) yet he wont give consent to change my name. he said it would be 'loosing apart of him' but he's never had anything to do wit me. we said that it'd get him out of paying child support 3years early but he said no. then he said why don't i just change my name by depol. cant till 18, and if he wont consent why say to do it by depol? why wont he let me change my name? is there any way i can do it without his consent? at the moment im just using their surname and put my bio-dads surname on anything legal. i dont see ho i 'wont be his' considering im not 'his' i is and he didnt leave...hewas abusive and we went into womans refuge. . i'd wonered about taking oth names, thanks i will look into it.. i canno write him a letter because i d no know where he lives or anything i dont want to talk to him. my bio-dad is known as "that wanker who technically your father" or by his first name, ad my stepdadi call by his first name.. i did tell him he's not like my father has noting to do with me etc. . he just arguedand we went round in circles for about 20minutes and he had me in tears he really upset me. now i dont want to talk to him..

Yes, after 10 days to 2 weeks call and find out the status of your application.. . Also, start right now preparing for a job interview. There is plenty of information on the internet, or go to the library and get a good book on the subject. Interview preparation will get you the job. First learn how to win in a telephone interview and then in the face-to-face interview. Good luck.
