Letter written to a school principal, president of your society, some department or some office are formal letters.. . You need to simply stick to the point while writing formal letters and highlight important points and put first things first ( like mention your roll no. address, subscription ID etc. right over the top and a point of reference and state everything very specifically assuming that the person at other end knows nothing about the matter, that's the real difference.. . Also formal letters should use active voice and easy language.. . Format of formal and informal letter are no different, just the approach and tone differs.. . Thanks

." The phrase separation of church and state is generally traced to an 1802 letter by Thomas Jefferson to the Danbury Baptists, where Jefferson spoke of the combined effect of the Establishment Clause and the Free Exercise Clause of the First Amendment. In that letter Jefferson wrote, "Believing with you that religion is a matter which lies solely between man & his god, that he owes account to none other for his faith or his worship, that the legitimate powers of government reach actions only, and not opinions, I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof, thus building a wall of separation between church and state." The phrase "separation of church and state" itself does not appear in the Constitution, but it has been quoted in several opinions handed down by the United States Supreme Court.

hi ppl, i really hate my name and have always wanted to change it, currently i am:. Jessica Christine Ward - Foster and im dropping the ward for a start (dads family, we all hate them, including my dad!) unfortunately they wont let me get rid of christine, because it was my auntie's name (she died when she was 5, so not even my dad met her, but they are not going to budge on letting me change that name =[ ). so, i am stuck on a first name, i wanted a slightly unusual, not too wacky name, but it wouldnt go with the christine foster. ______Christine Foster, any suggestions?. . on top of all this i was wondering about how you can change it, i asked my mum and all she said was 'you do it by depoll' .....what's that when its at home? lol oh btw, i live in the UK if that helps.. also, how much does it cost to change your name?.

my partner and I are expecting the arrival of our newborn son in 4 weeks and we my partner wishes to take my surname when we get married in the future but we have been told that if my partner does not change his name before we register our newborn son and name him on the birth certificate...the day we come to get married my partner will have to adopt his own son. we've been told that he can change his surname online and it doesnt cost very much at all....does anyone know if this is true?.

Sorry I could not help you. Good luck.
