I just learned that after I paid off the load on my car, the Washington State DMV says it would take 6 to 8 weeks to clear the lien on my title and send to me. I have a potential private buyer for my car, but I don't know how to handle the sales without the title in my hand. I'm moving out of country in about a week and must sell before. Any advice?. thanks, I called Nissan they said the lien is sent on June 16th, then DMV says they haven't gotten it and it'd take 4-6 weeks once they receive it. They also told me I'm not supposed to sell the car until the title is ahipped to me. Will buyer be able to get a temporary permit based on bill of sale or any other way? Also get insurance covered?. I don't want to scare the buyer away..

No, It is your right to change your name back to maiden name. You can put in the divorce petition that you want your name changed back, but again you can.... You don't have to do anything you want. It was your legal right to change it to his last name in the first place. I have been through 1 divorce and on my second. A judge won't and can't order you to change it.
