I live in North Carolina and they're assholes about everything and I anticipate a big hassle.. . Please don't answer me if you have a rude or mean answer or a value judgement about me. I just want to know what can be done about this. I would have so much peace and feel so much better if I could just change that name.. . Also, I REALLY love my parents. I HATE the thought of hurting them but it's such a drag to go through life with a name that causes you mental anguish.. . I don't see why changing a name should be so difficult. A person can change their gender, why the hell not a name? I know that I was born with the wrong name and that I'm really a different name inside. I hate being forced to go by a name that doesn't fit me..
