I feel that too many "online games" with cheesy engines already exist. Sometimes you go through an online list and find 90 games are exactly the same, just named differently.. . If you do make an engine, I would recommend that you support or even enforce customization above all else. I don't want to see every game with same engine using same graphics, sound and game-play!. . I have a goal to make my own online game someday in C#, but it's not an easy task... you'll need to a good grasp of the language you're using, graphical SDK like DirectX, networking, computer AI, and thats only part of it. You're going to need artist for the GUI, sprites, so forth... going to need a music composer for the SFX, background music... going to need webmaster for the website.. ack the list goes on and on.. . One thing that couldn't hurt is make it open source project... Online game programming is not considered a one man sport in my book.

Name change help? By deed poll?

I need advice in administering an elderly relatives estate.

. Dear Mr./Mrs./Ms./Miss [Agent Name]:. . Please consider representing [name of book in ALL CAP or Italics], my 90,000-word [genre] novel. (If you met this agent at a writer's conference, or if you have some sort of wonderful connection to the agent, start with that. Otherwise, just do the "please consider repping" sentence first.). . Next section is a one or two paragraph pitch. Before I write pitches, I get my DVD's out and read the backs of them to get the feel for how a pitch should sound. You can also use the backs of other fiction books. Try to include an ending in your pitch, but make it sound enticing without giving too much away. I know that's really tough to do, but work with it. Tweak it. Re-write it each time you send your query out to a different agent. Ask other writers to critique it too.. . Finally, do a brag paragraph. Tell something about yourself that's relevant to the book. What the agent wants to see in this paragraph is that a.) you've got or are building a platform, b.) you know enough about the material in this book to really write this book, and c.) you're not going to be a one-hit wonder. One of the things I like to say in this paragraph is that "This novel can stand alone, or it can be sold as part of a series." What the agent wants to see is that you're a flexible person, easy to work with, polite, professional, knowledgeable, and willing to re-write/revise/push to get it published, make it popular, and do all that you can do to make the book really SELL.. . At the end, I like to tell the agent that I've read through their agency's submission policy, and just like their agency suggested, I'm submitting a synop and the first 10 pages below (or whatever their agency wants).. . Sincerely,. My Name. My Snail Mail Address. My email address. A link to my blog or other website. . Here I center the words SYNOPSIS OF [TITLE], usually in all cap like that. But if your email program screws up your ability to center, just do that title flush against the left margin. I don't think it will matter much.. . I paste my synopsis right here next, double-spaced.. . Next I paste CHAPTER 1 with the title centered (if possible). . Then I submit my first chapter or first ten pages or whatever, double-spaced. If your email program doesn't allow you to double-space, then I would put it single-spaced, because if you try to hit enter at the ends of lines, it comes out looking like this on the agent's email:. . Once upon a time there were three bears. A mamma. . bear, a daddy. . bear, and a little baby bear. They all lived together in. . a great big

Block format:. Your Name or Company Name (or use a Letterhead). Your Address. City, ST Zip. (2 spaces). . Date. (4 spaces). .

I told him I was happy to do this on the requirement that he pays for the name changes.
