The attorneys of Hedberg & Boulton, P.C. are very active in advocating on behalf of our clients in workers' compensation and workers' rights in Iowa.

In addition to representing injured workers, we are active in the community of lawyers and non- lawyers who promote public policies that protect workers' rights. We have been involved in workers' rights legislation through meeting with legislators and testifying before legislative committees, researching bills and advising union clients.

The Hedberg name has a long history with the labor movement and workers' rights advocacy in Iowa:

Art Hedberg, who is of counsel to the firm, served as a Charter Member and Past President of the Iowa Workers' Compensation Advisory Committee. He has also been a board member of the Iowa Trial Lawyers Association, Workers' Compensation Section and the Iowa State Bar Association, Workers' Compensation Section.

Mark Hedberg is a member of the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades (IUPAT) and part of the AFL-CIO Lawyers Coordinating Committee. He is also general counsel for Iowa's American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees union (AFSCME Iowa Council 61). Additionally, Mark is the retained attorney for a United Auto Workers' local and the union that represents Des Moines police officers.

His connection to the labor movement is also part of his family history. He is the son of Iowa labor leader Randy Boulton, who serves as Sub-District Director for the United Steelworkers (USW) and grandson of Ray Boulton, who served as a local union steward in a union that is now known as the United Food and Commercial Workers.

By staying involved with the Iowa bar groups on workers' compensation and workers' rights, we stay connected to current developments in these important legal fields. We also help promote and protect Iowa legislation dealing with workers' rights. We are workers' lawyers. As Art Hedberg says, "I've been practicing law for more than 50 years and I haven't represented a corporation yet."

think about some nice design of your business card. Put there the logo of your company, the name of your company, your name, your position or title, phone number, email, put also the address of your company.. . That's it. You don't need a new Mona Lisa, you need people easy to contact you and your company. On Internet are many samples of business cards, inspire your self.. . Good luck.. . Update:. If its your personal business card, just don't put the company name, address and logo. Replace it with your address.

Where I work we recieve job applications both online and in written form format and if it helps you we much prefer it when people apply online. That's if you're given the choice of course! If not it doesn't make any difference.. . Your sister can have 2 jobs if she wishes but she'll have to make sure she doesn't work more hours a week than she's legally allowed to. I think she should apply for both fast food and retail jobs and see which ones she gets offered. She can always turn one down. Retail may be slightly better and she'll probably get a staff discount which would come in useful! :)
