Any idea what im supposed to send! I dont have any admin experience!.
My husband is currently working as a residential construction superintendent. Due to the fall of the residential economy, he has opted to apply for commercial construction. We are having some difficulties trying to generalize the first paragraph to a certain position. Every job has a different title for the position he wants. How should we construct a more general cover letter that can be submitted to numerous contractors as opposed to sending different cover letters to match the position/title in the ad?.

Is this company's name appropriate?
Yes, create an excel spreadsheet that has all of your variables (name, address, etc.). . Then use the mail merge feature in Word to create your template. The mail merge program allows you to specify which parts of your spreadsheet belong to which letter.. . This will allow you to customize your letters for each person.. . If you are unfamiliar with a mail merge, the help feature in Word is very helpful.
