I'd apply to specific jobs. It takes a few weeks to go through the interview and hiring process and I would start your search immediately.. . I would not put it in your cover letter about your availability. That's something for the interview. The person screening your resume might not be the same one doing the interviewing, etc. and based on the interviewer's schedule they might not be able to meet with you until the middle of December. Plus with the holidays coming up I think January 1st is reasonable. I would not want your resume to be put to the side by someone who did not fully understand the process because they think that's "too far away". Plus it's your skill set the employer wants, and if you have what they want they will wait an extra week for you.. . Good luck.

"Discrimination"? Hardly. The bank understandably needs to ensure that you are entitled to act in your aunt's behalf. They probably need to verify her identity, disabled or not. POAs have been falsified and misused in the past. How does the bank know that your aunt is even still alive? The bottom line is that the bank is not required to accept the POA you presented.

but make sure they have some experience and aren't just selling you a piece of paper.. . Good for you/your lawyer for not giving over the Quit Claim until the refinance is completed. This is a HUGE problem for a lot of people when they get divorced - one person ends up still on the mortgage, but with no ownership/control/leverage over the property!!

Do not send the letter of recommendation. If you get called to an interview, bring the letter to the interview and hand it to them personally if you feel like you want the job.
