Start at the Social Security office. You?ll need a certified copy of your name change paperwork. The form to change your name and get a new Social Security card is available on the Internet. If you don?t have Internet or printer access, visit your local Social Security office and pick up the forms there. Mail them in or file in person. This will take a few weeks and you will be notified when it?s done and your certified paperwork will be returned to you. Your Social Security Number will not change.
How do I establish a living will and advance health directives?
The passport, if it isn't expired, is all you need when starting a job. You need to know your social security number, but you do not need to show it.
I am missing both mine and my 10month old son social security cards. What should I do? My husband had an accident and has been on dissability which means our finances are in shambles and our marriage is beyond rocky. He has been continuosly asking me to give him our sons social security card and I have been fearing that he might open up accounts/use his social security. What should I do?.
As a side note, I try to leave off my physical address on my Resume/Cover Letter header or footer. You never know which place is legit and which one is really a scammer trying to mine for data. Leaving off your physical street address where you live will not hurt your chances. If they're interested, you'll have to go in person and fill out a physical application anyway, at the place you would be working at. But if it's a scammer, they won't have your personal info. I have replied to several as for a "job" on craigslist, only to get this generic scam-like email stating that they wanted me to click on a link in the email and "obtain a copy of my credit report to give them." No employer should need a credit report - they can check that on their end. Anything that has that on CraigsList is a scam.
You really need to talk to an estate planner. Most of the time, that life insurance isn't going to be subject to estate taxes - unless possibly the rest of your estate is many times that amount.
