google cv builder and you should be able to get advice and templates for your cv.. . Highlight your skills especially where they apply to your chosen sector and just keep sending it out.. . Good luck in your change of career but be ready for a lot of rejection letters. the jobs that are out there are being applied for by people who are taking a step down just to get a job and the majority of employers are looking towards them rather than people progressing.
I'm 16, and applying for my first job.. I already have a bit of a cover letter. At one point the application says "If you have a resume, please attach it to this application". Should I write a resume? If I do, what should go on it? I've volunteered as a thrift store cashier for about a year, but that's elsewhere on the application. I'm involved in Key Club and National Honor Society, but I'm not an officer... would those be worthwhile mentioning? I'm not in any sports, but what about other extracurriculars like band? . Lots of questions, but if you could give me some tips about a resume for a first job, or tell me what you did, it would be very helpful. Thank you!.
