  • An Experienced Estate Planning, Trust Administration and Probate Law Firm in Pleasanton, California

Estate planning can benefit absolutely anyone, no matter the size of his or her estate. The fact is, good estate planning has as much to do with personal values, goals and family dynamics as it does with protecting or disposing of assets and minimizing liabilities.

I'm James J. Phillips, a California attorney with more than 30 years of experience in handling estate-related legal needs of all types, sizes and shades of complexity. I care about my clients and the quality of service I give to each of them. I also have great paralegals and staff members who help me to provide clients with better, more efficient and responsive service each day.

    My practice includes

Wills and codicilsRevocable and irrevocable trusts of all types, including living trusts, special needs trusts and trusts Durable powers of attorneyAdvance health care directivesNonprobate administrationProbate administration, including ancillary probate mattersGuardianships and conservatorshipsTrust administrationProbate litigation, including will contests, trust disputes and claims against fiduciaries

It is important to me that clients understand their estate planning options so that they can make informed decisions about what they want to happen if they become incapacitated or die. While the specifics of planning for issues such as health care and financial management during incompetency, avoiding probate or minimizing the likelihood of probate-related disputes involving beneficiaries can vary greatly from person to person, at the end of the day I also want to make certain that my clients understand the documents I prepare for them and that those documents accurately reflect each client's wishes.

    Distinguishing Credentials and Honors

Since 1980, my practice has focused exclusively on estate planning, trusts, probate and related tax matters. I hold an advanced legal degree (LL.M.) in taxation. I have been certified as a specialist in probate, estate planning and trust law by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization since 1990, the first year such certification became available to California attorneys. Less than 1 percent of all practicing attorneys in California can claim this distinction. Lastly, I have also held an AV Preeminent* peer review rating (the highest available) through Martindale-Hubbell every year since 1995.

*AV Preeminent and BV Distinguished are certification marks of Reed Elsevier Properties Inc., used in accordance with the Martindale-Hubbell certification procedures, standards and policies. Martindale-Hubbell is the facilitator of a peer review rating process. Ratings reflect the confidential opinions of members of the bar and the judiciary. Martindale-Hubbell peer review ratings fall into two categories: legal ability and general ethical standards.

estate planning

probate question?

Muslims love Jesus (pbuh), they believe in his miraculous birth with the will of God without a father or sexual act (the way Adam was born without a mother and father), , they believe in miracles that Jesus (pbuh) performed with permission of God, muslims faith demands them to believe Jesus (pbuh) was a great prophet of God and belief in the original message of Jesus (pbuh) the massaya.. . Qur?an, revealed to the Prophet Muhammed (an illiterate person, who didn't know how to read or write) some 600 years after Jesus (pbuh) corrects the errors that crept (knowingly or unknowingly) into the message that Jesus (pbuh) brought. This book was not preserved on paper or in one church but in hearts of thousands of muslims who memorised Quran word by word the way it was revealved and recited it daily 5 times in prayers. After Mohammad (pbuh), there was not even one dispute about a word of Quran in compiling it, that's how what you see today is only one original Quran in arabic with exact words in each one of them. Till today there have been billions of muslims who have memorised Quran by heart word by word, never found for any other book. Quran should prove to be a very valuable asset to both Muslims and Christians.

Im making paper lunch bag puppets but I cant buy the bags anywhere. Is ther a site which has a free template download?.

I'm going to be skating soon and I'm just wondering if a 50$ pair of hockey skates from walmart will affect my skating.. . will they effect the ice?. would they break easily?. . how long will they last me?.

How should I format my essays for grad school?

In a word, No.. . For medium sized business customers even if they opt for a CMS, they need a developer to set it up and to create the style and template they want. Most businesses will still hire a developer to do this, only small businesses with tech experience will do it themselves.. . Larger businesses won't use an off the shelf CMS, they will develop their own and maintain it in house. Very few large businesses, mainly non-profits and NGOs will use off the shelf solutions as a cost cutting measure but the majority will still hire a developer to set it up and/or maintain it.. . There are also developers who use existing CMS, or their own CMS they have developed, and package it together with hosting, maintenance and support and sell it with pricing options.. . As for the actual benefits of using a CMS there are many but most will depend on what you want to achieve in your site design. A CMS can be quite restrictive, on top of that there can be security issues. Most CMS are open source which allows community development and patches and security fixes to be found quickly however you will only benefit from open source security if you actually keep the product up to date. Open source products which clients do not keep up to date can become more vulnerable to closed source products for the simple reason that open source flaws are identified and patched more quickly.. . There are also copyright issues to consider as many open source CMS like Joomla can't be resold - it violates the license agreement. So developers have to find ways around that by charging for their actual services not the product - or develop their own product which they can sell.
