There is this girl at school that is absolutely beautiful and she's fun to be around, but the problem is that I am probably one of the shyest people in my school. Another problem is that I NEVER see her during the day except for the few instances where we cross paths in the hall. I have decided (maybe incorrectly) that writing her a letter, asking her if she wants to spend some time together with me, is the only way that I will ever be able to ask her out. However I have heard many "horror stories" about this plan backfiring if the letter gets into the wrong hands, etc. So my question is, would it seem too geeky/nerdy/dorky to sign the letter in some sort of code that only very few people (she included) would be able to understand (for example a cryptogram with something like her middle name or birthday (yes, as yearbook editor, I have access to the student database) as a key) so as to limit the damage if the letter got into the wrong hands?
