• Jim Jones represents clients in complex commercial, class action, and multijurisdictional litigation. He has prosecuted and defended these actions in state and federal trial and appellate courts around the country and before arbitration panels. These actions have included breach of contract, business tort, accountants' liability, environmental, product liability, fraud, consumer fraud, and like claims. In these proceedings, Jim has represented energy companies, chemical companies, financial institutions, telecommunications companies, medical device manufacturers, and pharmaceutical manufacturers.

  Jim's recent commercial litigation docket involves matters for electrical power suppliers and steel manufacturers like EME Homer City Generation and United States Steel and their rights and obligations under coal supply agreements. His current environmental work includes the defense of Midwest Generation and affiliates in Clean Air Act litigation initiated by the federal government and various states against current and former owners and operators of coal-fired power plants.

  Jim's trial experience includes state and federal court jury trials and private arbitrations. He has tried both commercial and product liability claims, and his appellate work covers briefing and argument before state and federal appellate panels.

  Jim serves as administrative partner of the Pittsburgh Office. He is a member of the board of directors of the World Affairs Council of Pittsburgh. I hate to say this but there is something wrong with your ex. Why would she want to do something like that to your children? Why would she want to confuse them this way? I think it would be best if you spoke with a lawyer. And I think that you should work on giving your children's your last name.
