i went to an interview for an executives personal assistant on friday. i was thinking i could send him an email thanking him for his time and it was a please to meet him. would this be appropriate? if yes what else could i say?.

If your employer is suing you, then they would have to serve you. Service of process is different than using certified mail. Certified mail is used when you want to be able to show at a future date that you have actually tried to send something to another person. If you left some personal items at your prior employer, for example, then they would send it to you certified so that they would be able to keep the green card after you accepted it. I would suggest you call the employer and ask what the letters are if you are still speaking to them to find out why they are attempting to serve you. They may be notifying you of a change in your benefits or they may be giving you income tax information, etc.. . I cannot think of any reprecussions you would have by refusing to accept the mail unless you wanted to file a complaint at a later date. If you attempted to say that they did not give you something, etc. then they would be able to state that they actually did try and return something to you but you would not accept it.

My friend who lives out of town got there today to find an alert, oriented 81 year old man stripped of his independence, his dignity and almost his home! I suggested if the car is NOT returned, call the police, and I also suggested that the elderly man who is alert quickly change his durable power of atty and right now!.

It is my opinion that rather than the charge of $22 flat fee for both, as you have presumed, is not the facts of the matter. To get a child's name changed along with the Adult's name change the fee would be $22 for the child additional to the parent's fee of $137.

Can I do it myself or should I use professional writer? If I use a professional writer, what questions do I ask to ensure that they know how to communicate what a publication wants to hear?. What tips could you give me so I'd know if I could write it myself?. And finally what bone-headed moves can I avoid in writing a press release. Like forgetting contact information or date of the event?.
