I am an only child and do not get along with my mother. She is 65. I have made it known in the last several months due to an issue with her, that (I do not want any legal POA over her medical/personal, finanal affairs). She needs someone that she is close to and is comfortable with, a person of her choice. I do not have the temperment to take this on for her. I feel guilty for this and am still upset and stewing about it. But, I don't want the responsibility.. . Question: When she changes her Will (soon) who can she appoint if she doesn't want another family member to do it? The attorney doing the will, courts?. @Vet's D: Yes, I know she can have a family member or friend. I think she is giving me the guilt trip with "I don't know who I can have do this". I just thought if she wasn't comfortable with asking a family member, would the attorney doing the will be the excutor over it? Is that common?. She mentioned something about (Estate/court) appointed to take over. Any ideas?.

no, she can get her social security name changed. that's what i did... even though my green card still has my maiden name (i'm still yet to change it).. . all i did was go to the social security administration office... filled up the form, showed my marriage certificate, passport, green card and driver's license to the worker and that's it. within a week, they sent me my new card (same number, different name).

Hey . I'm 17 and planning on going to Sixth Form in the fall and I wanted to change my name during the summer by deed poll. I was wondering whether I could show the documentation to the school head, to change my name in the application & course forms. Is this how it works? And do you think it's badly seen if a student decides to change their name, are they gonna say something judgemental? (it's actually just for personal reasons, I don't hold a criminal record or anything lol)

When selling a futures contract, is the process like selling an options contract? For example, when selling a futures contract, is the seller also the writer? Or are there no writer since in the exchange, everything is standardized? . So if that's the case, can I just decide to sell any amount of contracts as I please? And as a buyer, are there premiums that must be paid? Are Futures like...more intense/volatile versions of Options (a stretch)?. . I know that unlike options and stocks, the settlement is at the end of each day, so therefore, you realize your losses and gains daily, but does that mean that your "account" is debited and credited with the dollars lost and gained?
